Entering the Enchanted Forest

Mary Ann and I often like to walk this road toward the Geneva Center condos, Lake St. Galen Drive and East Lake Aspen Circle Drive. We call this spot “the enchanted forest” because it so picturesque in any season.

Welcome to my gallery

Thanks for visiting my photographic gallery. Now that I'm fully retired, and living in a beautiful area of the Missouri River Valley, I'm spending more time focusing on the natural beauty around me wherever I go. My purpose in this blog is to show family and friends some of the beautiful sights Mary Ann and I have seen in the community where we live and in places that we've visited during the past few years.

Many of my earlier shots were taken with a number of "point-and-shoot" cameras, among them the Canon Sure Shot 35mm; those taken since early December, 2008, have been taken with a Casio EX-Z9 Exilim digital camera. (I'm still studying the user's guide for this one.)

Now that I've joined the Innsbrook Photo Club, I expect to learn much about photography and post-processing so that the quality of my work will improve greatly in the months and years to come. Perhaps they can teach an old dog new tricks.
