Pujols at Bat
Back in September of this year Mary Ann won a drawing for four tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals’ game. When we got there, we found that we and two friends had fantastic seats about fourteen rows behind the field boxes just to our right of home plate. It was a great vantage point from which to snap this shot of Albert at bat. Even though the Cards lost by one run, we had a great time, thanks to some anonymous donor to the G4U (Goodies for You) fund drive. Our thanks to the donor and to whoever sold those tickets to Mary Ann.

Henry Giving Grandma the Raspberries
Mary Ann took this picture of Henry during our October, 2009 babysitting trip to New Jersey. At nearly one year, he was in his vocal stage then, testing all the noises that he could make with his mouth. That’s when he discovered the raspberry, replete with drool, and delivered it to Grandma as she adoringly photographed him standing behind his jump seat.

“Motif No. 1”, Rockport, Massachusetts
While Mary Ann and I were in Boston in July, 1967, for the wedding of our dear friends Barb and Tom Flaherty, we took a side trip to Rockport on Cape Ann, just north of Gloucester. There I shot this photo of the famed “Motif No. 1”, the red boat house on the pier. I took several shots of the boat house, using an ordinary point-and-shoot camera, but somehow I’ve become attached to this one because of the ancient, rotting hull in the foreground.

Crystal Trees
Jazzy Jamee
In October, 2002, something about our 16-month old granddaughter having fun at the baby grand piano compelled me to grab my Sure Shot and look for a photo op. I was not disappointed. She turned toward me and, with the moves and facial expressions of a jazz pianist, gave me exactly what I was looking for.

South Haven Sunset 1
I couldn’t resist trying to capture the vibrant purple, red and gold hues in the sky that evening. The outline of a friend’s multi-hulled, Navy Seal power raft at the water’s edge made the scene all the more enticing.
